Khyber Eye Foundation Extends Visionary Services to Peshawar's Blind Government Institute

In a concerted effort to extend essential eye care services to underserved communities, the Khyber Eye Foundation Mobile Camp Team made a significant visit to the Blind Government Institute in Peshawar on the 21st of March, 2024.

The outreach initiative witnessed a robust turnout, with a total of 70 male individuals benefiting from the comprehensive services offered by the Khyber Eye Foundation team. Among the attendees, 35 patients were diagnosed with cataracts, a condition known to significantly impair vision if left untreated.

Recognizing the urgency of addressing such cases, the Khyber Eye Foundation promptly referred these individuals to avail themselves of the free cataract surgery provided by the foundation. This crucial intervention not only promises to restore sight but also aims to enhance the overall quality of life for those affected.

Moreover, in line with the foundation’s commitment to holistic eye care, refraction services were extended to all 70 attendees. This essential service ensures accurate vision correction through the prescription of appropriate eyeglasses, thereby catering to the diverse visual needs of the community.

The visit to the Blind Government Institute stands as a testament to the Khyber Eye Foundation’s unwavering dedication to promoting eye health and accessibility to quality eye care services. By reaching out to marginalized populations and providing them with essential resources and treatments, the foundation continues to illuminate paths to brighter, clearer futures for individuals across the region.
