Khyber Eye Foundation Brings Vision Clarity to Wahid Gheri Dispensary: A Successful Eye Camp
On 11 November 2023, the Khyber Eye Foundation held a free eye camp in Wahid Gheri Dispensary, Peshawar. This event was part of their ongoing efforts to provide essential eye care services to needy communities. The eye camp recorded 292 Outpatient Department (OPD) visits, highlighting the significant impact of this initiative on the local community.
The breakdown of attendees included 101 male and 146 female adult patients, along with 22 male and 23 female children. This diverse turnout underscored the foundation’s commitment to serving individuals of all ages and genders.
During the camp, 120 free eyeglasses were distributed to those in need, and 147 free medicines were provided to patients. These offerings aimed to improve the quality of life for attendees by addressing common vision problems and eye health issues.
Furthermore, the camp identified 80 cataract patients who were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for further treatment. This referral system ensures that patients requiring more intensive care receive the necessary support and attention.
The successful execution of the eye camp in Wahid Gheri Dispensary reflects the Khyber Eye Foundation’s dedication to enhancing eye health across the region. Their efforts continue to make a tangible difference, one eye camp at a time.
