On March 2, 2024, the Khyber Eye Foundation in Peshawar hosted a free eye camp, providing vital eye care services to the community. The camp recorded 128 outpatient department (OPD) visits, offering consultations and essential treatments.

Out of the 128 OPD visits, 69 were male adults and 51 were female adults, demonstrating a significant turnout from the adult population. The camp also catered to younger patients, with six male children and two female children receiving eye care.

In addition to consultations, the camp provided free eyeglasses to those in need, with 62 pairs distributed. Furthermore, 187 free medicines were handed out, ensuring patients had access to necessary treatments without financial burden.

A crucial part of the camp’s services was identifying and referring patients for further treatment. 128 cataract patients were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for comprehensive care, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to tackling preventable blindness in the region.
