Khyber Eye Foundation Organizes Free Eye Camp in Janakor Hassan Khel, Peshawar
Peshawar, Pakistan – February 1, 2025 – In its ongoing mission to provide quality eye care to underserved communities, the Khyber Eye Foundation successfully organized a free eye camp in Janakor Hassan Khel, Peshawar, on February 1, 2025. This initiative was designed to offer free eye checkups, medicines, and vision correction solutions to those in need, ensuring that individuals suffering from eye-related issues receive proper medical attention without financial burden.
The camp saw an impressive turnout, with a total of 167 patients screened by a team of highly trained ophthalmologists and medical professionals. The initiative focused on diagnosing various eye conditions, including refractive errors, cataracts, and other vision-related problems. As part of the camp’s commitment to community health, 188 medicines were distributed free of cost to patients requiring treatment for their diagnosed conditions.
In addition to medication, the foundation recognized the urgent need for vision correction and provided 81 near glasses to individuals struggling with poor eyesight, significantly improving their quality of life. Many of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, highlighting how access to free glasses would help them in daily activities such as reading and working.
To ensure that patients requiring further medical intervention receive proper treatment, 34 individuals were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for detailed eye checkups. These patients will undergo thorough assessments and, if necessary, advanced treatment under the supervision of experienced eye specialists at the foundation’s facility.
The Khyber Eye Foundation remains dedicated to its mission of eliminating preventable blindness and promoting eye health across Pakistan. By organizing such free eye camps, the foundation continues to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment of eye diseases, particularly in remote and underserved regions where medical resources are limited.
This initiative is a testament to the foundation’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and public welfare. Moving forward, the Khyber Eye Foundation plans to expand its efforts, reaching more communities through similar free eye camps and other healthcare initiatives. The organization encourages individuals, philanthropists, and corporate partners to support these endeavors, helping to bring quality eye care services to those who need them the most.
