On January 4, 2025, the Khyber Eye Foundation organized a free eye camp at Toheed Colony, Peshawar, continuing its mission to provide accessible eye care to underprivileged communities. The event was a remarkable success, reflecting the foundation’s dedication to improving vision health in the region and ensuring that no one is left behind when it comes to essential healthcare services.

During the course of the day, a total of 224 patients were thoroughly screened for various eye conditions. Each individual received personalized attention from skilled healthcare professionals who diligently worked to assess their needs. As part of the foundation’s commitment to ensuring comprehensive care, 186 individuals received essential medications at no cost, addressing immediate eye health concerns and alleviating symptoms that could hinder their daily lives. Additionally, 120 patients were provided with free near-vision glasses, empowering them to carry out their daily activities with improved clarity and ease. These glasses offered a transformative improvement in their ability to read, write, and perform other close-up tasks, significantly enhancing their quality of life.

The camp also identified 33 patients requiring more detailed and specialized evaluation. These individuals were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation’s state-of-the-art facilities for advanced diagnostic procedures and potential treatments. The referral process was handled with great care to ensure a seamless transition for these patients, allowing them to access specialized services without unnecessary delays.
