Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali Visits Khyber Eye Foundation
On December 28, 2022, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali, paid a significant visit to the Khyber Eye Foundation, a renowned institution in the region dedicated to eye care and treatment. The governor was given a warm welcome by the hospital’s esteemed leadership, including Chairman Mr. Muhammad Ghiyur Sethi, Life Patron Professor Dr. Muhammad Daud Khan, other members of the Board of Directors, and the hospital’s administrative team. The event was attended by various dignitaries and officials, reflecting the importance of the visit.
Upon his arrival, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali and his accompanying guests were given a comprehensive tour of the Khyber Eye Foundation’s facilities. The tour aimed to showcase the hospital’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, ongoing projects, and future plans. During the visit, a detailed presentation was provided to the governor and his delegation, highlighting the hospital’s achievements, challenges, and contributions to eye care in the region. The presentation covered various aspects, such as the number of surgeries performed, outreach programs, community impact, and patient care services.
Several key members of the Khyber Eye Foundation took the opportunity to share their perspectives and insights. Professor Dr. Muhammad Daud Khan, Chairman Mr. Muhammad Ghiyur Sethi, Director of Finance Mr. Khalid Sultan Khawaja, Mr. Faiz Muhammad, and Vice Chairman Mr. Muhammad Adnan Jaleel expressed their views on the current state and future goals of the hospital. They expressed confidence that the governor’s visit would significantly enhance the hospital’s visibility and drive future growth. They also acknowledged the governor’s proactive approach and dedication to improving healthcare services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the discussions, the board members extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, recognizing his role in promoting positive changes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The governor expressed his gratitude to the hospital’s leadership, including Professor Dr. Muhammad Daud Khan, the late Haji Muhammad Hussain Shah, the late Senator Haji Muhammad Adeel, the late Muhammad Haleem Jan, the late Noor Muhammad, the late Sufi Bashir Ahmad Durani, Mr. Khalid Sultan Khawaja, Mr. Muhammad Luqman Shah, Mr. Faiz Muhammad, Mr. Muhammad Adnan Jaleel, and other board members, for their unwavering dedication in establishing the hospital and guiding it toward a path of success.
Governor Ghulam Ali assured the hospital’s management that he would personally look into the issue of the hospital’s land and support their plans to open a new branch in Dir. He also pledged his assistance in procuring the necessary equipment and machinery for the hospital, as well as organizing free eye camps. The governor mentioned that some of his acquaintances were willing to cover all expenses associated with the free eye camps, demonstrating his commitment to the foundation’s cause. He suggested forming a two-member committee to meet with him to discuss the hospital’s issues in detail, ensuring prompt resolutions to any challenges faced by the institution.
Towards the end of his visit, Governor Haji Ghulam Ali was honored with a commemorative shield, recognizing his support and encouragement for the Khyber Eye Foundation. Additionally, Professor Dr. Muhammad Daud Khan and Professor Dr. Shad Muhammad were also presented with shields to acknowledge their contributions to the field of eye care. The visit concluded on a positive note, with a renewed sense of collaboration and commitment to furthering the hospital’s mission of providing quality eye care to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
