On February 8, 2025, the Khyber Eye Foundation successfully organized a free eye camp at Dubai Hotel, Qissa Khani, Peshawar, reaffirming its commitment to providing essential eye care services to underserved communities. This initiative was designed to offer free eye checkups, medication, and vision correction aids to individuals in need, ensuring that financial limitations do not prevent access to proper eye care.

A total of 253 patients were screened by a team of skilled ophthalmologists and medical professionals, who conducted thorough examinations to diagnose various eye conditions, including refractive errors, cataracts, and other vision impairments. The foundation ensured that those requiring immediate treatment received the necessary medical assistance, with 184 medicines distributed free of cost to patients diagnosed with conditions needing prescribed medication.

Recognizing the importance of clear vision in daily life, the foundation also provided 105 near glasses to individuals struggling with poor eyesight. For many, these glasses will significantly improve their ability to read, work, and carry out everyday activities with greater ease, enhancing their overall quality of life.

To ensure that patients needing specialized care receive proper attention, 48 individuals were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for detailed eye checkups. These patients will undergo further assessments and, if necessary, advanced treatment under the supervision of experienced eye specialists at the foundation’s facility.
