Khyber Eye Foundation Hosts Free Eye Camp in Darmangi Warsak Road, Peshawar

On Saturday, August 24, 2024, the Khyber Eye Foundation successfully conducted a free eye camp at Darmangi Warsak Road, Peshawar. This event was a testament to the foundation’s ongoing commitment to providing essential eye care services to the local community.

The eye camp was well-attended, with a total of 310 patients visiting the OPD (Outpatient Department) for eye examinations and treatment. The camp provided critical support to individuals in need, distributing 120 pairs of free near glasses to help those struggling with near vision issues.

In addition to the eyeglasses, a substantial amount of medical support was offered. A total of 230 free medicines were distributed, addressing various eye conditions and ensuring that patients received the necessary treatment to manage their eye health effectively.

The camp also identified 78 patients with cataracts, a serious eye condition that can impair vision significantly. These patients were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for further evaluation and potential surgical intervention, highlighting the foundation’s dedication to comprehensive eye care and follow-up treatment.

The successful execution of this eye camp not only provided immediate relief to the attendees but also emphasized the importance of accessible eye care services in the community. The Khyber Eye Foundation’s efforts in Darmangi Warsak Road reflect its ongoing mission to enhance eye health and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need.
