Peshawar, 25 November 2023 – The Khyber Eye Foundation successfully conducted a free eye camp at the Dalazak Road Dispensary, aiming to provide much-needed eye care services to the local community. The camp saw an overwhelming response, with a total of 202 patients receiving treatment.

The breakdown of the Outpatient Department (OPD) numbers showcased the camp’s wide reach. Adult male patients accounted for 42 visits, while adult female patients were significantly higher, numbering 130. The camp also catered to children, with 11 male and 19 female young patients attending.

In addition to consultations, the Khyber Eye Foundation provided tangible aid in the form of free eyeglasses, distributing 99 pairs to those in need. Further support came through the provision of 109 free medicines, ensuring comprehensive care beyond immediate consultations.

A notable outcome of the camp was the identification of cataract cases. A total of 61 patients were diagnosed with cataracts and were subsequently referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for advanced treatment. This initiative highlights the foundation’s commitment to addressing more severe eye health issues and providing long-term solutions.
