Khyber Eye Foundation Hosts Free Eye Camp in Peshawar

On 20 January 2024, the Khyber Eye Foundation organized a free eye camp at the Dalazak Road Dispensary in Peshawar. This charitable initiative aimed to provide essential eye care services to the local community, focusing on those unable to afford regular healthcare.

The camp witnessed a robust turnout, with 105 Outpatient Department (OPD) visits. Among these, 25 adult males and 64 adult females attended, highlighting the significant participation of women in the event. The camp also catered to the younger population, with 7 male children and 9 female children receiving eye care services.

During the camp, the foundation distributed 61 pairs of eyeglasses at no cost, significantly aiding those with vision impairments. Additionally, 109 free medicines were provided to address various eye conditions, ensuring comprehensive care for the attendees.

In a noteworthy development, 22 patients diagnosed with cataracts were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for further treatment. This step underscores the foundation’s commitment to supporting those requiring more extensive medical intervention.
