Peshawar, October 14, 2023 — In a commendable effort to provide essential eye care services to the community, the Khyber Eye Foundation organized a free eye camp at the Dalazak Road Dispensary in Peshawar. This initiative attracted a significant number of patients and highlighted the foundation’s commitment to improving eye health in the region.
The event saw a total of 113 patients who benefited from the comprehensive eye care services offered. The breakdown of the attendees included 31 male adults and 72 female adults, alongside 5 male children and 5 female children. This diverse attendance underscores the widespread need for accessible eye care across different demographics.
A key highlight of the camp was the distribution of 57 pairs of eyeglasses, provided at no cost to those in need. Additionally, 101 units of free medicines were dispensed to patients, ensuring that the prescribed treatments were within reach for all attendees.
The eye camp also served as a critical platform for identifying more serious eye conditions. A total of 27 patients diagnosed with cataracts were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for further specialized treatment.
