Khyber Eye Foundation Hosts Successful Free Eye Camp in Peshawar
On May 11, 2024, the Khyber Eye Foundation held a free eye camp at the Dalazak Road Dispensary in Peshawar, offering much-needed eye care services to the local community. The camp saw 250 outpatient department (OPD) consultations, with many adults and children attending.
A breakdown of the attendees showed that 34 male adults and 183 female adults utilized the services provided at the camp. Additionally, the camp attended to 17 male children and 16 female children, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to serving people of all ages.
In its continued efforts to support eye health, the foundation distributed 114 pairs of free eyeglasses to those in need. Moreover, a total of 190 free medicines were handed out to further assist the patients.
The eye camp also identified 68 cataract patients who were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for more comprehensive treatment, ensuring they receive the necessary care to restore their vision.
The successful event at Dalazak Road Dispensary underscores the Khyber Eye Foundation’s dedication to improving eye health in the Peshawar community, demonstrating the positive impact of such initiatives on public health.
