Khyber Eye Foundation Holds Free Eye Camp at Dalazak PMS Dispensary, Peshawar

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, the Khyber Eye Foundation (KEF) continued its commitment to providing accessible healthcare by organizing a free eye camp at the Dalazak PMS Dispensary in Peshawar. The camp, aimed at offering essential eye care services to the local community, screened a total of 193 patients throughout the day.

In addition to the screenings, 155 patients received necessary medications, and 112 individuals were provided with free near-vision glasses, helping to improve their quality of life. The initiative focused on delivering much-needed medical attention, especially to those who may not have access to regular healthcare services.

As part of the comprehensive approach to eye health, 45 patients were referred to the Khyber Eye Foundation for detailed eye examinations and follow-up treatments, ensuring that more serious conditions could be properly diagnosed and addressed.

This eye camp is part of KEF’s ongoing mission to combat preventable blindness and vision impairments by reaching underserved populations. The foundation’s work continues to be a beacon of hope for many, offering free services to those in need and raising awareness about the importance of regular eye checkups.

Through efforts like these, the Khyber Eye Foundation not only provides immediate relief to those suffering from eye issues but also reinforces the importance of proactive eye care within the community.
